How to make a giant chalkboard! :)

Step 1: Materials

There isn't much required.

48 x 48 piece of 5/8" plywood
48 x 48 sheet of 24 ga. sheet metal
Liquid Nails
Chalkboard paint
Base board
Wood screws
Finish Nails

Step 2: Plywood base

Then trim the board to 45 X 45 so that there will be a 1.5" border of exposed plywood on the edge. You then use liquid nails to secure the sheet metal to the plywood. You don't need sheet metal, this just makes the chalk board magnetic. 

Step 3: Poof! Chalkboard.

After the liquid nails set you paint the metal with some Glidden chalkboard paint from the hardware store.  This paint is the most expensive part of the project.  It is about $15.00 per pint.  It is important that you follow the drying and curing instructions on the can.  If you try to rush the paint it wont give you the nice smooth surface you need.  Also, you should use a dense foam roller rather than a brush.

She Became Lost

She made me a promise that she just couldn't keep,
I remember the time she called me mid sleep.
She needed someone to talk to,
but just talking wouldn't do.
We thought she would be here forever,
imagining what happened next was a never..

We got the call that they found a body,
I couldn't help it.. I broke down badly.
I wouldn't eat or sleep for weeks,
I heard her everytime the floor boards in my house creeked.

She was too young, she didn't get to grow old,
because she was always stuck in her dream-world.
This one was just too unfair,
you never knew what would happen next..
I became so unaware.
Unaware of her needs, unaware of her thoughts.
I was too caught up trying to survive myself that she became lost.

She became... Lost.

I wish I would have paid attention.
I wish I would have taken action.
I saw the warning signs,
but was too caught up in mine.
I needed help, but she needed it more.
All she needed was someone to adore.. her.

Her self and her eyes would gleem in the light,
She needed someone to tell her that everything was all right.
When I got the call that cold winter night,
I knew she was gone and she'd never be in my sight.

I miss her laugh and her big teeth smile.
I miss when we could sit her for a very long while,
and sing songs that we knew eased the pain.
I miss that I'll never see her beautiful eyes again.
